Online Experience Reflection
Online experience is a unique class that teaches you how to use a computer to your advantage. Many kids have used a computer and software, but never really understood it until this class.
Technology is extremely important in today's society. Every job available now seems to use a computer or some sort of technology. Technology helps us accomplish tasks with ease and speed. Technology lets us help others by creating vaccines and medications. Technology is the basis of the world. Over the past 5 years, technology has become more advanced and easy to understand. So many new products and gadgets are being created with new technology, and most likely will continue to blow our minds away.
Schools use a lot of computers, a lot of T.V's and some use smartboards. Kids in school use technology for assignments and research. I personally don't use computers a whole lot, I love watching football on T.V. though, and I enjoy watching college Basketball, as well as MLB. I also use technology when I play the Nintendo Wii or the PS2.
In the future, I don't think I will use much of any of these tools. I will probably use the blog a little, not much, and I might use iGoogle a little as well. I personally don't think any of the listed tools are practical for life-long learning. I think it can help keep you organized and help you with assignments, it might also be a requirement for some jobs though. I don't think I will ever use Delicious, Avatars, RSS feed, or the widgets and gadgets. It seems to complicated. The Avatar was the coolest though. You could create your own person and tell him whatever you want him/her to say. And you could dress him up anyway you wanted to. I think copyright was the most boring thing in the world. It was pointless in my opinion. I mean, I know its illegal, but there are so many cases nowadays, its getting useless to investigate the crime.
Overall I thought this was a good class, but most kids in my opinion, know more than the teachers who teach it. Kids nowadays, know how to hack and change. This was a good class and it was easy.

BLABBERIZE VS. VOKI
HONESTLY I LIKED THE VOKI BETTER. IT SEEMED MORE FITTING TO THE THINGS YOU WANTED IT TO DO. BLABBERIZE YOU CAN ONLY CONTROL WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO SAY. VOKI YOU CAN PICK WHAT YOUR CHARACTER WEARS AND WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE. MUCH MORE SOPHISTICATED AND EASY TO USE. GO VOKI!!!!!

Mr. Brainwash vs Glen E. Friedman
Thierry "Mr. Brainwash" Guetta loses copyright case with photographer Glen E. Friedman
• Mr. Brainwash took a iconic photo from Run D.M.C and was outside the bounds of the copyright law
• Mr. Brainwash got the picture from the internet
• He wasen’t aware that the picture was already in a published book
• Mr. Brainwash altered the photo and projected it onto a large piece of wood, painted the image on the wood, and glued 1,000 pieces of phonograph records onto the wood. The resulting artwork was displayed and used to advertise Mr. Brainwash's "Life is Beautiful" installation in Los Angeles, which becomes the dramatic turning point in Exit from the Gift Shop.
• He argued that the picture was not original
• Was guilty for infringement

"Promises"
Promises is a video online at http://www.netsmartz.org/RealLifeStories/TeenPSA. This happens everyday in the real world. Here in bedford township, we don't think this could happen, but everyday thousands of kids go missing because of this problem. A computer cannot show emotion, or "problems". So many things happen on the internet and its getting worse. This is a very true video, but its a little creepy.

"Tracking Teresa"
1. What personal information did Teresa give out? With the information we figured out that Teresa is a female and has a little brother, we know what school she goes to, when she gets home, what she likes, who she hangs out with, where she lives, her parents names.
2. Have you ever put personal information on the Internet? I have put my birthday and where I live on the internet, also my email and facebook account.
3. According to Deputy Krupp, what is the most important thing to remember when using the Internet? Make sure you use common sense when using the internet.

Super Computer
The university of Texas is building a super computer.
Texas recieved a 27 million dollar grant from the national science foundation. Called Stampede, it is supposed to come online in 2013.If it were running today, it would be the worlds fastest supercomputer.
At the heart of Stampede will be two kinds of Intel processors. More than 12,000 eight-core Xeon E5 processors will combine to produce 2 petaflops, a measure of a computer's processing speed. But the bulk of the raw processing power, an astounding 8 petaflops, will come from Intel¹s newest MIC (many integrated core) chips, which have more than 50 processing cores per unit. This is one fast computer!

RSS Feed
A RSS feed makes searching easy, quick, and effective. An RSS feed automatically sends you updates from blogs and news feeds. An RSS feed sends you a bunch of different things. Its very useful if you are a journalist or a news reporter. I just recently went on IceRocket, another free RSS feed. I noticed that there were alot of steps and alot of information I personally don't want to put out on the internet. Otherwise, the RSS feed on google reader rocks!

Delicious!
When you hear the word delicious you think of food, but you may also think of the online organizer. Delicious is an online organizer that organizes all the URL's and information that you need. It is perfect for classes and schools to use, its so well organized. And its simple! Delicious is a very useful tool. I'm using it to organize my own personal items and URL's. And maybe, when I get a job, I'll use it to organize my working papers and such. Very useful.

Technology and Me
I really don't use technology too often. I use facebook and an email at yahoo.com. I also have a cell phone and a wii. Technology is been great to use when I'm bored and its raining outside, otherwise I don't use it. Technology to me is one of those things that keeps growing, but has no effect on me directly.
